With over two decades of experience in the aesthetics industry. Avere Aesthetics brings a wealth of expertise rooted in the heart of Scandinavia.
Originally from Norway, Co-Founder Cathrine built a distinguished career spanning Europe and Asia, having owned a thriving and successful medi-spa in her home country before setting her sights on new horizons.
Seven years ago, she made Singapore her home, quickly falling in love with the city’s vibrant culture and dynamic lifestyle. She took her first step in the local beauty scene by opening her salon in 2024 and has since expanded that vision with the launch of Avere Aesthetics — a dedicated aesthetic venture, committed to redefining personalised beauty care.
Driven by a passion for individuality, she identified a significant gap in the market: the lack of bespoke treatments and skincare solutions tailored to each person’s skin, lifestyle, and aesthetic goals. Drawing on the principles of Scandinavian beauty, celebrated globally for it’s effortless elegance and reliance on natural ingredients. Avere Aesthetics was founded to bridge the best of Nordic beauty philosophy with advanced aesthetic medicine.

Dr Tan Say Lock

Dr. Tan brings with him more than twenty years of medical expertise to aesthetic practice since 2001, with a career spanning leading Singapore hospitals and landmark national initiatives such as the CODE EYE blindness resuscitation program.
Formerly Deputy Medical Director and General Manager of Healthway Medical Group, he has substantial experience operating medical group practices including Silver Cross Family Clinics, Island Orthopaedics Consultants, Singapore Baby and Child Clinics as well as Nobel Specialists.
A respected educator among fellow physicians, he is widely recognized for raising the standards of safe and effective aesthetic medicine in Singapore. What distinguishes Dr. Tan goes beyond credentials. Patients consistently praise his attentiveness, gentle approach and refined eye for facial harmony.
He takes a deeply personal approach to every consultation, tailoring each treatment to the individual rather than applying a one-size-fits-all method, so that every result feels authentically, beautifully you.

Key Achievement — CODE EYE Protocol:
Dr Tan was the key driver of CODE EYE — Singapore’s local dermal filler-related blindness protocol, developed in collaboration with the Singapore National Eye Centre and subject matter experts.
The protocol includes an eye resuscitation kit and a panel of ophthalmologists providing coverage within 15 minutes across an estimated 70% of all aesthetic clinics in Singapore.
